I dropped my half shaft off at the local machine shop today for them to cut off 1.100" of it to fit in the Quaife LSD. When I went to pick it up, they didn't charge me anymore than what they originally told me it would cost, but he said and I quote "That was the hardest son a bitch metal I have ever had to work with in my life." I said, I guess it's just a really strong part, then I also added that I remembered I had it cryotreated and he said "That stuff really works then!" Anyways, I don't know if it was the cryotreatment that made it so beefy, or if it was just the fact that it's a beefy part, but just made me grin a little, so I figured I'd post.
